equally pleasant for family day sailing and cruising. She is sure to turn heads in any har- bor! Please reach out to Artisan Boatworks to discuss this unique opportunity to re-build her to her former glory.

Wesmac in Surry is busy trying to get

all their new boats out the door and launched. In bay one is a Wesmac 38 being fi n-

ished off as a pleasure cruiser for a customer from Rhode Island. She has a new series 550-hp Caterpillar engine, which is getting a lot of attention. Presently they are putting in the interior and putting the fi nishing touches on the systems. She will sport a bench seat in the cockpit and davits for a hard bottom infl atable. She will be over mid-summer. In the next bay is a Wesmac 42 kit going

to New Jersey to be fi nished as a cruiser. The buyer is a broker who has set up some friends with a shop and hopes to create a series using Wesmac hulls. This boat will be powered with an 800 hp Iveco. The house will be bolted on shortly and she will be shipped before the end of June. In another bay is a 46 pleasure cruiser

which is being fi nished off for a customer from Halifax, Nova Scotia. They are pres- ently working on roughing in her interior and once bay one is open she will be moved in there and fi nished. She will be trimmed out in Maple.

In another bay is a 54 foot lobster

boat/dragger heading to New Jersey. She is powered with an 803-hp C-18 Caterpillar diesel. She will sport an A-frame rock drag, four large lobster tanks, which will hold over 4000 pounds of lobsters, full interior trimmed in mahogany, lots of hydraulics which will also include stabilizers. Presently they are working on wiring and systems and she is scheduled to be launched the end of summer. In another bay is BACKSTABBER, a

54 footer being fi nished out as a sport fi sh- erman. She is powered with a C-32 1925 hp Caterpillar. She has a full interior and will be able to sleep fi ve. The interior is done with mahogany panels with cork fl ooring. She also will have 1,000 pound crane and a Murray fi ghting chair. This boat has all the bells and whistles one could ask for in a sportfi sherman. She is scheduled to be over in July.

Also on order is a 50 foot lobster boat

for a fi sherman from Stonington; and a 46 super-wide going to San Diego as a sport fi sh/cruiser. Presently there is no mould for the 46

and they are now making a 42 mould with a 4 foot extension. The fi rst one will be going to Linda Greenlaw. If the new boat business is not keeping

them busy enough they have four storage boats that still need to go overboard before summer arrives.
