The 18th Century Croome Court, part- designed by Robert Adam & set in a park landscaped by Capability Brown, was the sumptuous seat of the Earls of Coventry. Requisitioned in World War II & successively re-used as a school, Hare Krishna's UK headquarters, a conference centre, hotel & a golf course, Croome reached the 21st Century in some disrepair. Now the estate's restoration as historic visitor attraction is well under way. Croome’s General Manager, Michael Forster- Smith tells the tale of Croome's creation, fall & rise.
