New in 2026: The ‘Ranch Horse Alliance Program’ A
from horsetrader sales staff
new regional qualifying system that unites ranch horse shows across the Western United States — and leading
to the year-end finale West Coast Ranch Horse Championships held in conjunction with the 2026 Ranch Horse Rendezvous — kicks off this year. The Ranch Horse Alliance connects all- breed and breed shows that offer ranch classes, so exhibitors can qualify for the champi- onship show by competing at approved Alliance shows. Exhibitors must show in at least four approved shows between Jan. 1 and Sept. 10, and there is no exhibitor fee to qualify. The Championship Show will run classes Oct 10-11 in conjunction with the 2026 Ranch Horse Rendezvous Oct 8–11 at California Ranch Company in Temecula. All four Alliance- recognized ranch classes will be offered: Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Rail, and Ranch Conformation. Awards will include buckles, silver platers, jackets — and more. For more information, check out the Ranch Horse Alliance website at htps://ranchhorsealliance. com. Show producers who are interested in having their shows count toward Alliance qual- ifications can learn more and apply at htps://
westcoastranchhorse.com/show-approval. For approval, shows need to offer at least three of the four approved ranch classes and then sub- mit the show approval application to get listed as an Alliance-approved event and receive promotion across the network. Benefits would include growing exhibitor participation, added promotion and visibility as a qualifying event, and generally helping to grow the ranch horse community on the West Coast.
