t Deer Trail School District 26J in Deer Trail, Colorado, pupils are getting on board—with wireless technology that is. Google, in partnership with solutions provider Kajeet, installed Wi-Fi on school buses in Deerfield District 26J and in three other districts


in Colorado. Kajeet installed Wi-Fi equipment on three Deerfield buses, and Google will provide 70 new Chromebooks for students to use when they ride the buses to sporting events, academic bowls, field trips, and to-and- from school. With innovative wireless technology and networks, the school classroom


has a new extension: Te school bus. Google is helping equip school buses with Wi-Fi, devices and educator


support with the company’s “Rolling Study Halls” program. Te program is aimed at rural communities to help close the digital divide that still exists in some geographic areas and provide more learning hours outside of school. Microsoft also seeks to transform school buses into Wi-Fi hotspots by using television white space. It is piloting programs with schools in rural
