PUBLISHER'SLETTER E
verything that enters your body produces a positive or negative result. This includes food, drink, chemicals, and maybe most importantly, thoughts. If what you are putting
into your body is healthy, you will have a positive response. If it is unhealthy, you will get a negative response. The way you look and feel tomorrow is a direct refl ection of the thoughts and ac- tions you engage in and the food and drink you consume today.
Strong, pure positive thoughts and healthy food builds
excellent health in the body, mind and spirit. There are many schools of thought as to what causes an individual to engage in an unhealthy lifestyle. Do negative thoughts cause one to eat poorly and have less regard for their health? Or does eating poorly and being unhealthy cause negative thoughts? Either way you look at it, it’s all inter- changeable. To protect your body, you must protect your mind and vice versa.
With a healthy body, mind & spirit, you have the ability to be fully engaged and
can pursue your goals with the confi dence that you will be able to accomplish them. Thus, your attention should always be placed on keeping perfect health. Live physi- cally at the top of your game by taking a serious interest in your body on all levels: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Exercise today to preserve and enhance the self you attained yesterday and to ensure the self you desire to be. If you do not exercise, you will eventually lose all that you gain and your future along with it.
The choice is yours; it begins by opting for the stairs instead of the elevator, fruit in place of chips, and active rather than sedentary activities. The secrets to good health are not complicated. They are known and waiting for you to discover them and, most important, to put them into practice. Eat a large variety of fruits and veg- gies, lean proteins and healthy fats. Do a combination of cardiovascular and strength training at least 3-5 times per week. Feed your soul through meditation, journaling or your favorite spiritual practice. The satisfaction of good health and fi tness can be yours when you choose to make them priorities in your life.
This month we’d like to help you with your healthy eating habits by showcasing some of our amazing Farmers Markets right here in CT! It’s my favorite time of year as there are so many delicious local fruits and veggies ready to be enjoyed – don’t miss a trip to the farm to pick your own strawberries!
