Step 5:
Rub-in the margarine until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Step 6: Grate the cheese. ADULT SUPERVISION.
Step 7: Mix the cheese into the flour mixture.
Step 8:
Add a little water and mix with the palette knife to form a dough.
Handy hint Step 9: Knead lightly until smooth.
Brush the cheese straws with water and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds before baking.
Step 10: Roll out into a rectangle.
Step 11: Cut into thin strips about ½ cm x 7cm.
Step 12: ADULT ONLY. Place on a baking tray and bake for 12 minutes. 2
