Inspectorate in our recent report; the nursery is set in the beautiful rural surroundings of the Keir Estate on the outskirts of Dunblane with ample car parking.

SHORTBREADS perfect with a hot chocolate!


A super yummy snack,


Preheat the oven to 180°c or gas mark 4. Ingredients: 125g butter 50g caster sugar 175g plain fl our 1 tablespoon milk

Rub the butter, caster sugar and fl our all together in a large bowl between your fi ngers until it looks like breadcrumbs.


• Add the milk to the mixture and knead it to turn it into a ball of dough. • •


Let it cool in the fridge for half an hour. •


Sprinkle a bit of fl our on your worktop and roll out the dough until it’s about 1cm thick. Use some cookie cutters to make shapes and pop them onto a baking tray, nicely spaced. You can prick them with a fork to give them the classic shortbread look. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
