Recotherm Introduce Custom Replacements
Recotherm Ltd of Birmingham, one of the country’s leading and most innovative manufacturers of indoor swimming pool environmental control systems have become the exclusive supplier to IAC Service Group Ltd. IAC are a UK wide design and build, M&E services company who boast many hotel groups among their clientele including many in the Holiday Inn chain. The news follows on from Recotherm’s launch of custom-build indoor pool climate control units to replace existing refrigerant-based systems which are being removed from many locations due to performance, reliability, noise, and running and service cost issues. Martin Killen, Recotherm’s Managing Director, said: “This is great news for Recotherm to get a vote of confidence in our products from such a major organisation in the hotel sector, and testament to the benefits that Recotherm products bring to customers using hotel leisure facilities.” Vince Mann, Operations Manager at IAC Service Group Limited, was equally enthusiastic about the tie-up with Recotherm saying: “We’ve used Recotherm in a number of important locations now and compared to other pool hall environmental control equipment we’ve used in the past, we found Recotherm units to be incredibly energy efficient, easy to maintain and operate, excellent quality of construction and, above all, extremely reliable. Utilising All Year Round Thermodynamic System Saves On Heating Costs
Energy specialists Renewable Solutions Surrey (RSS) were called into help a family in Thatcham that live in a five bedroom rural house with a swimming pool. The family were spending over £5,000 a year on oil to feed their oil fired boiler. The boiler serviced their domestic hot water, central heating and swimming pool heating needs. Having assessed the heating needs for the family, RSS designed a dual Thermodynamic System to help reduce their annual heating costs. The system consisted of: • A two Panel System to cater for the domestic hot water all year round • A 12 Panel System to cater for central heating in the winter and pool heating in th e summer.
The two panel system runs completely independently and caters for all the hot water needs in the house. This system has an average cost of 52p a day to
run.The 12 panel system works in conjunction with the boiler during the winter for the central heating. During the summer the boiler can be completely switched off and the 12 panel system heats the pool from April to Sept. This system has an average cost of £1.75 a day to run.
