Here is the materials list and step by step for tying up this pattern

HOOK = Kamasan B100 size 12 THREAD+ Emir Veevus 14/0 olive thread RIB= Emir Veevus golden olive holographic tinsel THORAX+ Crystal River Caddis bead

1. Take a size 6 long shank hook and carefully remove the point and barb from the hook. 2. Insert the blunt end of the hook into the caddis bead and using a nail file gently remove half of the material which will result in a cone head. 3. you can now insert the cone head onto the size 12 B100 hook, you may have to apply a bit of pressure to get over the barb or better still squeeze in the bark gently. 4. with the olive tying thread start just being the cone head and form a small thorax then bring the thread down to catch in the tinsel. 5. bring the thread up the hook to form a neat slim body the taper it sharply as you come up to the bead, the aim is to ensure that when you tie off the silk it is done just behind the bead. 6. Once this is done apply one coat of Deer Creek resin over the body and the bead to encapsulate all, and bingo you have a pattern that will last you a lifetime unless you are unfortunate to encounter a smash take So get busy tying these up and I look forward to next months pattern a completely new pattern for the Olives and May flies
