BALBOA APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT FOR SPA CREST While there’s no new models from the successful Spa Crest Europe range there’s a lot of activity on new technology options including the inclusion of a leading iPhone application with mobile phone control options available through Balboa. New LED lights and new stereo systems are being added to the Spa Crest range options to enhance the range.

Spa Crest will continue to put a lot of emphasis on the quality of its tub jets from cluster jets, to directionals, foot specific jets, with each jet designed to deliver the utmost in therapeutic massage. ARTESIAN TO REMODEL SOUTH SEAS RANGE FOR 2012 Artesian Spas is to remodel its South Seas range for 2012 to provide what the company calls a beautiful and stunning new range. Last year the Doncaster based Artesian put the spotlight on its new Garden Spas range, a line of one and two seater hot tubs perfectly suited to customers wanting a high quality spa for a small space or in a garden with limited access.

But for 2012 the focus is on the South Seas products where the South Seas 518L, 530L DX, 726L/B, 746L/B DX, 832L/B and 848L/B DX will be updated and ready for launch on 1 April.

However, the South Seas 746L DX and 848L DX can be previewed at SPATEX in Brighton in early February. “The new design can only be described as beautiful,” said Vicky Stirland at Artesian. “It brings this

range right up to date without compromising the flow of the spa seating and any of its features. It really will be a stunning, high quality entry level range.”

Another key development for Artesian in 2012 is the launch of the new SmartPhone technology in their top end line, the Platinum Elite. Artesian have been keen to listen to the market and match up the technology which is available with the fact that everyone now seems to have access to a computer in their home or work.

There are very few down sides with the technology and Artesian have been keen to make sure the technology has been fully tested before releasing it to consumers.

ELITE ADDS TO NEW SUNBELT MODELS FOR SECOND YEAR RUNNING For the second year running Somerset based Elite Spas is increasing its product range bringing more new models over in the Sunbelt Spa range from Texas. Last year Elite added 11 new spas to its range and for 2012 plans to continue developing the number of spas it offers to dealers.

One of its key areas of focus is on the swim spa market and new for 2012 will be the Pure Indulgence model, the latest in a range of swim

spas noted for being energy efficient and eco friendly. The Indulgence model is added to the Eco Swim, Eco Family, Olympia Trainer and Spa 4 Swim models. The whole swim spa range feature silent running pumps, individual seats and will have the Frog Mineral Inline sanitation system included.

Elite is also stressing the development of the Microban protection system as being a major new selling point for its tubs. When microbes come in contact with the insulation surface, Microban protection penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism, disabling its ability to function, grow and reproduce. Because the protection is built in during the manufacturing process, it will not wash off or wear away. This gives Elite’s hot tub products an added level of protection against mould and mildew.

Another development for Elite is the purchase of a special vehicle to improve the company’s presence and display options at county shows in 2012.

“It’s a big investment for us but important as getting out to more shows will be another big theme for us in 2012. We do really well at them and hope to do better this year,” added Kevin Sanger from Elite.
