20 YEAR HEAT EXCHANGER WARRANTY FOR NEW HEATSTAR AQUARIUS
The new 2012 model Heatstar Aquarius heat pumps will carry a 20 year titanium heat exchanger and aluminium chassis guarantee. The Aquarius is a self contained pool water heating system, utilising free renewable energy from fresh air – easy to install and simple to operate and service. They offer the highest possible efficiency, super low noise fan and a digital controller. The ‘Plus’ models feature integral electric heater for early / late season pool water temperature boost. The Aquarius is available in two defrost versions:
• Summer defrost (SDF) – Normal summer use (typically UK May – September)
• Winter defrost (WDF) – All year use
Soft ‘electrical’ start is available as an option on all models.

In development of the Dekko LED light, Splash Lights recognised the need to avoid those features that are common to other LED pool lights – firstly,

Secondly, the uncomfortable glare arising from small aperture lighting – instead the new Dekko LEDs take the reflector principle and ‘smooths’ out the LED light beams before emerging through the broad aperture diffusing lens so it is evenly spread, powerful and comfortable. Thirdly, being sealed inside the pool there are no umbilical cables immersed in pool water – ensuring durability and safety.

LOW CARBON VENTILATION FOR HEATSTAR TAURUS
Heatstar’s new large commercial indoor pool Taurus units for leisure centres and municipal applications will now feature ‘Low Carbon Ventilation’ EC fan technology. The EC fan technology, which has proved
hugely successful in reducing project energy consumption in their Phoenix and Andromeda models, is now being extended throughout the larger product range.
The special fan features the latest
Electronically Commutated (EC) technology based around a DC motor coupled to an integrated frequency inverter. The super high efficiency motor directly coupled to a high efficiency ‘backward’ curved fan impeller enables the same quantity of air flow to be produced, but at much reduced motor power consumption.
This special type of fan will automatically operate in a slow speed ‘eco-mode’, during periods when there is low demand for either air heating or dehumidification during unoccupied periods. The fan speed in both ‘eco-mode’ and normal mode is also completely adjustable and can be precisely adjusted for the characteristics of each individual application.

dehumidification rates between 16.2 and 138.4 kg/hr and air flows from 1.1 to 15.6 m3/sec, the Taurus range has the capacity to deal with the largest leisure centre or Olympic size pool complex.
