AQUANALE – COLOGNE, GERMANY

AQUANALE ATTRACTS EUROPEAN BUYERS TO A GROWING MARKETPLACE

AQUANALE HAS ITS OWN APP

All of the information on aquanale – from opening times, prices, travel information, and exhibitor search systems to the supporting programme and the catering facilities at the exhibition centre – is to be made available in the trade fair’s own app. aquanale is also strengthening its presence on the internet by launching channels on YouTube and flickr. Both of these channels contain photos and videos of aquanale and its partners so that people’s attention can also be drawn to the event through these new media.

G

ermany’s aquanale show only gets one chance every two years to show if its pool and spa

industry is beating the economic odds. This year it looks like attracting record numbers of European visitors to a pool and spa market showing genuine growth for the first time in four years. The 2011 specialist aquanale pool and spa exhibition and congress is perfectly timed as it will almost certainly complete a record breaking year for the industry in Germany and other parts of central Europe. A recovering economy and warm late spring and summer weather managed to get the German specialist industry off to its best start for four years.

A new survey conducted by the Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (BSW) showed the pool building season got off to a more

successful start than in previous years. The economic upswing intensified people’s desire to have an outdoor pool in their own homes. The four day Cologne aquanale event is held every other year from 26 to 29 October.

Around 300 companies from about 25 countries will present products and services at the event which competes strongly with Piscina in Barcelona earlier in October. This year aquanale is the only international trade fair for swimming pools and wellness in Germany. The event’s supporting programme focuses on the sector’s latest trends and issues. Key themes will include a profile of the Italian pool and spa industry as a partnering country, the fourth Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum, the swimming ponds and natural pools theme area, a special solar energy show
