Eduard Hildebrandt (1818-1869), Boston from the East in 1844, with The Old South Meeting House, built in 1729; The Old State House, dating back to 1713; The Massachusetts State House built between 1795 and 1797 and the Public Baths close to the waterfront docks which served the mariners when in port. Inscribed ‘Boston, 1844’. Pencil and watercolour, over traces of pencil heightened with touches of bodycolour 7 x 10in (18 x 25.5cm)
