is often associated with royalty, wealth, leadership, and trustworthiness. The League of NH Craftsmen’s Gallery 205 is hosting a multi-media exhibition that celebrates the color purple. This exhibition features jewelry, soft fabric sculpture, photographs, prints, blown, fused and stained glass, clay, metal, garments, leather, a rug, and wood items - all hand- crafted by juried members of the League. The exhibition will be in the League’s Gallery 205 in Concord

from January 14 through March 23. An opening reception, where the public can meet and speak with the participating craftspeople, is scheduled for Friday, January 14 from 5 to 7pm. Gallery 205 is located in the League of NH Craftsmen’s headquarters at 205 North Main Street in Concord, and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Satur- days, during the exhibition, 10am to 4pm. Acoustic Music To Laconia Continuing every Tuesday evening

through March, The Studio, 84 Union Avenue in Laconia, will be hosting “Live Studio Audience” a new showcase for live acoustic music. “Live Studio Audi- ence” will feature local and regional singer-songwriters, and is run by Linden Mazurka, known for his “Live at Lago” and “Live at Camp” music series. A donation of ten dollars is suggested at the door, and guests are invited to bring their own food and beverages.

“Live Studio Audience” offers a set by a different featured

artist each week, followed by an open stage for anyone who wants to play. “The 9’s”, a local singer-songwriter group, start- ed things off on the 4th. Upcoming shows will feature local favorites Jim Tyrrell, Chris White, and “Uncle” Steve Furbish. Every show is recorded and taped, and highlights posted to YouTube, iTunes, and to Linden’s website, LindenMusic.Net. The Studio is an alternative gallery, studio and performance

space run by Melissa McCarthy. Its location on the second floor of one of the old mills in Laconia allows for an intriguing mix of art, craft and curiosities, and musicians are touting its acoustics and atmosphere. McCarthy herself is an intriguing mix of art, music and curiosity. Linden Mazurka has been hosting and recording live music shows since 2007 and is also a musician and music producer.
