AWARDS PROVIDES SUCCESS STORIES
BOTTLE PR ADVISES ON PR AT SEMINAR
BOTTLE PR, the PR agency appointed early this year by Pool Industry Promotions (PIP) to represent BSPF, SPATA, BISHTA and SPATEX, attended the SPATA seminar to talk to members about the benefits of PR.
They encouraged members to become more engaged with PR and marketing to help drive awareness and sales of their products. As well as demonstrating what benefits good PR can bring, such as greater brand awareness and better reputation, BOTTLE PR also talked about how an organisation can be proactive and clever with local opportunities.
BOTTLE PR provided the audience with tips on how to make a press release stand out and how to sell the story to the media. There was also a discussion on advertising versus PR and what benefits sponsorship can bring. Chris Hayes, SPATA’s Managing Director, says: “This was a great opportunity for the members to get access to some top tips and ask advice on how they can exploit local and regional opportunities.
“Since coming on board, BOTTLE PR has secured opportunities with
channel4.com, 25 Beautiful Homes and The Independent and we are looking forward to more great media coverage this year.”

HIGHLIGHTS ROLE OF CONTRACTS
Important seminars and regional meetings are held to bring members together to discuss and debate the latest issues affecting our industry and are also a chance to learn about other potential valuable services to make our companies even more effective.
Wright Hassall Solicitors kindly hosted a recent seminar and they were able to outline the value of having robust contracts and highlighted the SPATA standard contractual terms and conditions that they had produced for the industry. These industry standards terms are a valuable support for members and a request has been made to have a summary version available to make them even more attractive for domestic pool contacts.
