The Qatar Tourism Authority is giving away 50 pearls and a number of fam trip places to celebrate the launch of its online training programme. The QTA has developed

the Tawash programme with Travel Uni, and aims to educate agents, operators and industry professionals on what the destination has to offer. Agents hoping to win one of the pearls or qualify for the fam trip will need to register for the training at tawashqatar.com. Rosina Williams, QTA senior sales and marketing account manager, said: “Qatar Tourism Authority is delighted to be launching our Tawash online destination training programme in the UK. This will be an important

element in our overall marketing mix. The programme will give agents the chance to learn all there is to know about Qatar, its attractions, culture and visitor activities, as well as the opportunity of winning some incredible prizes and an option to experience the destination for themselves.” Modules will focus on areas including Qatar’s culture, luxury accommodation, shopping and opportunities to watch and take part in sport and adventure travel. The Gulf destination has

invested heavily in tourism in and around the capital city, Doha. Qatar is due to host the

World Cup in 2022, and is keen to promote its credentials as a modern society that also boasts rich culture and heritage. tawashqatar.com
