It is a pleasure to announce SGB’s formal Media Partnership with the PGAs of Europe. As you should have seen, each month we are featuring


an article from the PGAE and this gives SGB a chance to communicate to their members across Europe. This reciprocal arrangement is the first of its kind in the UK, and we are of course delighted. This hopefully shows you our intent in communicating with our core readership –the Pro. Please keep an eye on further


announcements during August… It’s certainly going to be interesting times in


the golf market as Sports Direct joins forces with Direct Golf. Although Direct Golf will retain day- to-day running of the company, the cash injection will undoubtedly accelerate more aggressive growth in the trade and create enhanced buying power like it has done within the sports trade. I can see a similar situation to the overall sports trade emerge, a ‘survival of the fittest’ if you like, where the middle ground gets squeezed but those offering a quality service prevail. Interesting times for sure! Enjoy the issue
