David Taylor and Adrian Liddiment Just Falafel


Just Falafel has announced two new senior appointments: David Taylor as franchise sales director and Adrian Liddiment as operations manager. David’s role will focus on driving growth of the Just Falafel franchise network in the UK, bringing 20 years of experience developing and growing international franchise businesses in the UK, Australia and the USA. Adrian Liddiment will head up Just Falafel’s operations team, which includes the new store openings team. He will manage training and development and play a vital role in ensuring the successful continuance of business operations within the company. Adrian has over 25 years of experience within retail and hospitality branded food-led businesses. UK and Ireland CEO, Michael Biggins, commented: “We are delighted to welcome David and Adrian to the team and look forward to working with them to help drive the business forward. It is a very exciting time for the brand, and their specialist knowledge and wealth of experience across UK and international markets will be of huge value, ensuring that we exceed our growth objectives.”


Lucy Maisey


Coconut Creatives Lucy Maisey has just been made a director at Coconut Creatives after three years at the company. As the


original northern Coconut, Lucy manages the Coconut offi ce in the Peak District and thrives in the varied nature of her role. This includes client relationship management, client account management and copywriting. Lucy’s specialism lies in the organisation of events, including the popular franchisor marketing workshops. She said: “I am so pleased to have been made a director at Coconut Creatives. I love being a Coconut – no two days are the same and I adore the teamwork and camaraderie within the business. Yes, it’s hard work, but it’s immensely rewarding when you see the results and get great feedback from clients.”


Stuart West and Darren Hawkins Card Connection Card Connection


has announced that Stuart West has been appointed as its sales director. Stuart, who has worked for Card Connection for 16 years, will now lead both fi eld sales and national accounts from Card Connection’s headquarters in Farnham, Surrey. “Stuart has worked tirelessly to drive Card Connection’s sales over the years and his appointment is particularly appropriate,” confi rmed Michael Johnson, managing director. “He has been very successful with national accounts, while at the same as time driving areas like innovative display equipment, POS, planned displays and the creation of seasonal greeting card packs and we are delighted that he will now manage our newly unifi ed sales team.” Card Connection has also recruited an additional business development manager to support its network of franchisees. Darren Hawkins will now be responsible for helping Card Connection’s Midlands and South Wales franchisees grow and develop their businesses. “We are delighted to welcome Darren Hawkins to our team,” confi rmed Michael. “Darren has worked in franchising for the past 10 years and his knowledge of the sector makes him ideally placed to provide valuable support to our franchisees, enabling them to optimise the profi tability of their respective franchises. The new role that has been created now means that we have further improved the ratio of business development managers to our franchisees. We anticipate this additional support will have a positive impact on the network as a whole.”


Henry Snagge Papa John’s Papa John’s has appointed a new acquisition manager to support its continued UK expansion plans. Chartered


surveyor Henry Snagge now joins the team and will be responsible for acquiring and negotiating terms for premises on behalf of Papa John’s franchisees nationwide. “I will be working closely with the other members of Papa John’s UK business development team to help franchisees take on new stores,” explained Henry. “My role will be to identify the best trade zones and therefore suitable locations for each new Papa John’s and ensure each site has the necessary ‘ingredients’, like good visibility and parking, to make it a successful store. I will also be spending time on the road showing franchisees prospective sites and then negotiating lease terms.” Henry concluded: “I am very much looking forward to making a valuable contribution to the success and growth of the network of Papa John’s franchisees across the UK.”
