These units are power limited (750W/1500W) which gives the engineer the flexibility of having a much a wider voltage and current output than you would normally expect on a conventional power supply. To increase the mounting efficiency, it has a 19-inch rack width which is only 1U high and cooling runs from the front to the back which means units can be stacked on top of each other. The series is equipped as standard with USB, RS-232C, and LAN interfaces, which are essential for system upgrades. The series also has a virtual multi-channel bus (VMCB) function that allows it to be used efficiently for remote control and monitoring with 1-to-N and as well as with N-to-M in large-scale networks. In particular, the LAN interface is LXI compliant*, enabling you to control and monitor the power supply easily from a browser on a PC, smartphone, or tablet.

tatus Instruments has used state of the art technology to develop a powerful but cost effective ‘smart’ powered conditioner with features usually only found in more expensive conditioners. Suitable for frequency or pulse generating sensors, meaning it is ideal for use with flow meters or pulse counting applications, the SEM 1600F has an advanced mode were maths functions can be applied. This allows differential flow or pulse counts to be compared. For example, flow measured going into a process minus flow measured on the output of a process allows the product to calculate the consumption of the process. With an integral totalise function, when the consumption reaches a programmed total or increment, the product can be programmed to trip/pulse a relay contact. K factor and M factors can also be applied via the software, allowing the SEM1600F to be calibrated specifically to the flow sensor used. The output stage offers either voltage, bipolar voltage or active/passive current re-transmission signals. The retransmission signal can be ranged to a scale anywhere within the process range. The product comes with an AC/DC power supply that will operate in the range (10 to 40) VDC and (10 to 32) VAC.

BM has expanded its QuantumX modular data acquisition platform with the MX403B module to provide high-precision measurement of up to 1,000 Volts. The MX403B module has four differential channels for the direct measurement of electric voltages and is fitted with high insulation for maximum security. Each channel is equipped with analog anti-aliasing filters, digital filters and 24-Bit A/D converters while it outputs data with


sampling rates of up to 100 kS/sec/channel and acquires signal bandwidths of up to 38 kHz. The parameters of the measuring ranges can be freely varied or fixed at 10V, 100V and 1,000V enabling the acquisition of high voltages and smaller differential voltages from high potentials against ground reference. The module was developed to the latest IEC 61010:2013 standard and has been certified by the VDE. The MX403B seamlessly integrates with other modules in the QuantumX family to give time- synchronous acquisition of mechanical, electrical and thermal measurands and digital bus signals. Different QuantumX modules can be integrated utilising real time via outputs such as standardized voltage, EtherCAT or CAN and can be spatially distributed. The MX403B provides users with a flexible solution whose main applications are for mobile and stationary tests of energy storage systems or complex mechatronic systems.

FDA-approved gasket rings H


BM is now able to supply a selection of gasket rings, such as O-rings, made of NBR gasket material that meet the highest hygiene requirements to complement its PW27 platform load cell. The gaskets have excellent cold flexibility and very good resistance against contamination by grease and oil. In addition HBM also supplies EPDM gaskets that can be used under high

cleaning temperatures and where acids or alkalis are used for cleaning. The heads of fastening screws can also be protected against potential contamination with gaskets designed with an external sealing bead made of EPDM elastomer. HBM’s PW27 is the world’s first platform load

he S8000 hygrometer’s accuracy at very low temperatures (below -80°C dp) is due to a new measurement system which Michell Instruments calls ‘RRS’. RRS is a sophisticated technique that detects very small changes in moisture condensed on the chilled mirror surface. This guarantees both high sensitivity and fast response when measuring low dew points. The S8000 hygrometer’s accuracy at very low temperatures (below -80°C dp) is due to a new measurement system which Michell Instruments calls ‘RRS’. The S8000 is also the smallest and among the lightest chilled mirror instruments on the market with the ability to quickly measure dry dew points while offering an accuracy of ±0.1°C. What also makes the S8000 RS stand out from other instruments in its class is its ability to measure low dew-points without requiring external cooling. Its compact size means that it is convenient for use either as a bench-top instrument or installed in a 19” rack system. The touch-screen interface is highly intuitive and makes the instrument simple to use.
