Park. Snow Canyon, named for one of the early settlers of the region rarely sees snow, but rather is a geological wonder of red and white sandstone. Years of erosion have left arches and towers, ancient volcanoes have added a layer of black lava—for some added drama. The sand dunes, lava caves and rock arches add magnificence to the hiking and biking trails that are easily accessible from the parking lots. Dixie Red Hills
Dixie Red Hills Golf Course opened for play in the mid-1960s, the distinctive nine hole par-34 layout meanders around sandstone cliffs and mature trees and is one of the real treats of the Red Rock Golf Trail.
