Food festival Newport Food Festival takes place each October and has, as its patron, local boy Hywel Jones now Michelin star chef at Lucknam Park, near Bath. ‘The festival means a great deal to me and my family. It showcases what Newport has to offer,’ says Hywel. His favourite role during the Festival is judging the teen chef competition. ‘For me, that’s the highlight.’ www.newportfoodfestival.co.uk
