Ian gained his dream job when the Twenty Ten course was under construction.
‘I’ve seen the meticulous planning turn into reality, and I feel like I’ve grown with the course,’ says Ian.
His eye for detail is nothing unusual in this team of professional greenkeepers. Their rigorous routine ensures that this world class course is as good today as when it hosted The Ryder Cup in 2010. A typical year at The Celtic Manor Resort includes high-profile events such as the Celebrity Cup and the ISPS Handa Wales Open – the flagship European tour event. So Ian is never likely to be short of exercise!
