Karcher says it will promote the wide range of cleaning equipment it provides,
enabling hirers to benefit from procuring many types of machine from a single source. The line-up includes hot and cold pressure washers, spray-extraction machines, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, scrubber dryers, carpet cleaners, sweepers and steam cleaners, for domestic and commercial applications. The manufacturer will also unveil the AB20 air blower, which has been developed for the quick drying of rooms and carpets affected by flood damage. It has a low wattage motor and a large dual-blade fan for optimum air flow, low noise and reduced power consumption. The outlet can be set vertically, horizontally or at an angle to facilitate drying, and several machines can be stacked one on top of another and set at different positions to speed up the process. The unit can also be fitted with a filter to remove mould and allergens commonly encountered in flooded properties.

Firefly’s green hybrids
Firefly Solar Generators will highlight its Cygnus hybrid power generator, available in 5, 8, 12 and 24kVA versions with single/3-phase one-touch configuration, and designed to enable hirers’ customers to significantly enhance their carbon footprint. The company will also launch new remote monitoring software to enable fleet managers to track assets from any location, check environmental
performance and to configure the equipment.
The portable Pyxis power pack will also be displayed. Designed to provide power without consuming fuel or making fumes and noise, it can be used by tradesmen working in confined spaces and eliminates trip hazards associated with cables.

SPE International Ltd specialises in the design and manufacture of surface preparation equipment, spares and accessories on a worldwide basis. 2013 saw the acquisition of its parent SPE Group by Bartell-Morrison, which manufactures wet concrete products, and this complementary merger of products allows SPE International to offer an extended range, alongside its established line-up that includes shot blasting machines, floor grinders, floor saws, planers, mixing machines, hand tools, dust control vacuums, surface stripping machines and diamond products. As well as the Faststrike screeding system, 2014 sees the
introduction of new power floats, material spreaders and vibratory poker drive units and concrete placing machines. A selection will be on the stand, and several Show-only offers will be available.
