“The perfect opportunity”

More hirers tell EHN why they will be visiting the Executive Hire Show in February, and why you’ll miss out if you don’t join them there.

The Executive Hire Show is the perfect opportunity for me to meet all my suppliers in one day. It is also a very well organised event with a superb atmosphere and compact lay out.

As we are

based in Ireland, the exhibition can often be the only chance to meet

suppliers in person, as not many sales reps visit us here too often. It is highly

beneficial to see the latest products on offer ‘in the flesh’. I normally travel with two of my team, as they then get the chance to talk to their relevant suppliers, and this builds good business relationships.

” “ Neil Graham (centre), MD, The Hireman, London

After a restful Christmas break and some time to take stock of an incredibly busy and positive 2013, the Show is a great opportunity to get our key operational managers together and focus on the equipment we need for the year ahead. Having recently increased the size of our 2013 Passionate Hirer Award- winning east London depot by 50%, with 5,000ft2

additional storage space,

we will be looking to make a significant fleet investment to facilitate its growth. And with so many existing and potential suppliers under one roof, our focus will be on identifying potential new lines for 2014. We will also be bringing our Health & Safety Training Manager with us. He is keen to talk to

our suppliers,

such as Euro Towers, about raising awareness of the new PAS 250 standard set by PASMA, which affects all low level access equipment up to 2.5m platform height. To support this, we now run a weekly combined tower and low level access course for our customers at our central London training centre.

Brett Thompson, Operations Director, Alide Hire Services

There is

nothing more important written in my calendar during February than the

Executive Hire Show. As a company, we pride

ourselves on providing quality equipment with exceptional service, and to maintain this reputation we invest in new products several times throughout the year. The exhibition is the ideal place to see all that’s new on the market. It provides the platform to visit our current and potential suppliers, to discuss their new products and take advantage of Show-only deals. Like most small independent hirers, if there is a deal to be had, we will make the most of it. Another of the highlights is attending the Passionate Hirer Awards during the evening Executive Hire Party, which gives like-minded hirers and suppliers the chance to discuss ideas and products.

Jason Fielden, Director, EPS Hire Centres, Mytholmroyd We had a fantastic year in 2013, moving our second branch to larger

premises at the beginning of September. We took advantage of the Annual Investment Allowance, adding two more delivery vehicles, mini excavators from Takeuchi and Kubota, and we also purchased an Ammann roller, which we first saw at the Show. The exhibition is a

great opportunity to see existing suppliers like Hilti and Husqvarna, as well as new

companies we normally wouldn’t get a chance to see. We tend to look out for the more unusual items, and a good solid machine that would save our customers’ time, labour and costs would also be

””

something we go for. We will be interested to see new dust control equipment to add to our fleet to keep ahead of changes in legislation, and we are also keen to see the latest advances in powered access.
