UK: Hospitality designer Richmond International has created its fi rst spa at sea for the Royal Princess Cruise Ship, the newest member of the Princess Cruise fl eet. Located just off the main atrium, the Lotus Spa


features a sensuous décor intended to be representative of the earth’s natural elements and includes dark hardwoods, stone and simple metallic fi nishes. Facilities include a full-service salon, teeth whitening stations, a barbershop and mani-pedi areas, a relaxation


room and 18 treatment rooms. There is also an enhanced thermal suite called the Enclave, which includes a hydrotherapy pool, heated stone loungers, rain shower, hammam, laconium and caldarium. The 141,000-tonne, 3,600-passenger Royal Princess


was launched on her maiden voyage in June, following her naming ceremony by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. www.richint.com

UK: Online health and beauty portal Wahanda has appointed Klaus Nyengaard, former CEO of JUST EAT, and Chris Wood, who was MD at toptable, to become the chairman and CCO respectively. CEO of Wahanda, Lopo Champalimaud, said: “We’re really excited about the new additions to our team. Turkey: Leading aqua-leisure supplier Barr + Wray is to expand into the Turkish market following a partnership agreement with the Istanbul-based wellness consultancy Promet. By joining forces, both companies will seek to identify projects where they can bring a joint approach and offer international designs at competitive local prices. Established in 1993, Promet specialises in the design and installation of heat experiences while Barr + Wray view the Turkish market and those in the neighbouring countries such as Georgia and Kazakhstan as the next step in an ambitious business expansion strategy.
