Where to Stay

Home Home

Our very own Laura Flight stays at Eveleigh House in Beccles. Both Laura and her partner have a special place in their heart for this area of the country, so it made the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend together…..

After

a lot of searching I came across Eveleigh House. Located just a five minute walk from the local town of Beccles; it is a beautiful Edwardian house with just three rooms to offer. The B&B has been awarded four stars by VisitBritain.

The minute we arrived we felt right at home. Bob and Sally, the owners, were extremely welcoming, explaining the times for breakfast and offering us a menu where we could decide what we wanted and leave it on the side for the morning. We were also given a list of local restaurants and sights around Beccles.

As we arrived around 3pm, we had time to explore before dinner. We were extremely lucky as we had the best weather for a weekend away. We took a walk into the local town, and using Sally and Bob’s instructions we found The Kings Head which has only just opened to have a nice quiet meal and a drink then back to the comforts of our room. As the rooms also offer a flat screen TV with freeview, we had a quiet evening with a film.

78 The

room was spotless, very spacious with tea and coffee making facilities available. We also had an en suite, which was

modern and clean with towels and shower gel on offer. It was like being in your own home.

The following morning we made our way to the welcoming dining area and had toast offered to us, with cereal, fresh fruit and juices available. I would make sure you have a good appetite as we were then brought over our full English breakfast that was cooked to perfection! If you are looking to stay in a warm and welcoming B&B whilst exploring Beccles and the surrounding areas, Eveleigh House is the place for you.

Until next time…
