Photometric & Optical Testing launch large sphere measurement service No job is too big for Photometric Testing thanks to the launch of their latest measurement service using a 3m diameter integrating sphere that can verify the performance of even the largest and intense lamps or luminaires quickly and accurately. The new service employs a state-of-the-art 3m Labsphere Illumia® integrating sphere that fully conforms to the exacting requirements given in IES LM-79-08 and in BS EN 13032. The sphere provides for accurate 2pi and 4pi measurements of spectral radiant flux, luminous flux, scotopic flux, S:P ratio, CIE chromaticity, correlated colour temperature (CCT) and colour rendering index (CRI, RA). The sphere gives accurate and repeatable results even with narrow beam angle spotlights and downlighter fittings. Moreover, it is coated with Labsphere's proprietary 98% reflectance Spectraflect sphere paint making it highly non-directional giving a precise lumen reading regardless of the size, position and beam shape from the light source under test.

Verbatim Classic A is class-beating for outdoor use
Verbatim has introduced a new set of dimmable Classic A LED lamps for lighting professionals. Available in 7.5W or 10.5W to replace 40W or 60W traditional light bulbs respectively, all offer a wide beam angle (greater than 220°) and warm white light at 2700K. An IP65 protected 7.5W Classic A E27 is suitable for outside use or wherever a waterproof LED lamp is needed.
