Greater Victoria Chapter 2012
WAS ANOTHER GOOD YEAR FOR BOMA in Greater Victoria with the continuation of professional and networking events, including:
• Lunch and presentation by Curtis Grad, CEO of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority on the development of the Belleville Terminal and the former CPR building.
• Lunch & Learn given by Lorina Keery, BOMA BC’s Energy and EnvironmentalManager, on BOMA BESt 2 certification and recertification.
• Greater Victoria Chapter AGMheld April 19th, 2011 where we were joined by Colin Murray and Paul LaBranche, President and Executive VP of BOMA BC, respectively.
• The AGMwas followed by a lunch presentation by Adam Gant of League Financial Partners on the Capital City Centre development in Colwood.
• Annual Golf Tournament – held on a fabulous warm day in July at the Olympic View course – a change of venue this year. It was again sold out and was sponsored by Houle Electric, Bee Clean BuildingMaintenance, Trane Northwest and Christie-Phoenix Insurance. The HELP FILL A DREAM FOUNDATION for children with life-threatening illnesses was presented with a cheque for $2,000.
• We were pleased to host the BOMA Canada summer governance meetings 2012 on behalf of BOMA BC.
• Lunch and presentation by Dallas Gislason, the Economic Development Officer for the Greater Victoria Development Agency.
• Christmas Luncheon – held at the Inn at Laurel Point – a change of venue for this year – when 99 members and guests attended. A cheque for $3,000 was presented to the MUSTARD SEED CHURCH AND FOOD BANK.
