VERY OTHER YEAR BOMA BC hosts either an Awards Gala or Green Buildings Gala. This year it was time for all things green, to celebrate and promote energy and environmental awareness.


MarkMadryga of Global BC was the entertaining master of ceremonies for this group of 220 attendees. During the networking reception, ten exhibitors showcased their green products and services, ranging from smart sub-metering to water-saving faucets.


Seven of the most recent BOMA BESt certified buildings were recognized and presented with certificates. Plaques were given to every property management company that participated in the BOMA BESt program during 2011 to thank them for their commitment to the program and environmental initiatives.


New this year was the recognition of our first ‘BOMA Energy Champion’, open to all buildings that participated in the BOMA ENERGYMANAGEMENT PROGRAM (EMP) in 2011. 
