Monies raised at the Christmas Luncheon went to EMBERS, and funds raised at the Golf Classic went to the Vancouver Resource Society…
EMBERS – the ‘EastsideMovement for Business and Economic Renewal Society’ – works to combat poverty and assists in the revitalization of Vancouver through community-based business development. They offer employment services, green building solutions (energy efficient upgrades and renovation services to property owners) and small business training. Their mission is to empower disadvantaged people to be economically self-sufficient.

HE BOMA BC Gerry ThomsonMemorial Bursary was established in 1996 to assist new professionals into our industry as a legacy for BOMA. Today, the BOMA
Education Foundation is in excess of $200,000 thanks to matching funds by the BC government. The endowment provides annual donations to BCIT and SFU real estate program students.

The Vancouver Resource Society (VRS) provides accessible housing with support services to people with disabilities. They are committed to developing innovative housing programs that allow people with disabilities the opportunity to integrate and live independently in the community. VRS provides housing and care services to more than 150 clients.
