gategroup Peter van Niekerk Peter van Niekerk has been appointed group senior vp and president of gategroup’s Europe and Africa region. He has been with the company as a group senior vp since 2006 and has served the Asia Pacific and U.K. and Ireland regions for the company. His new role assumes responsibility for Gate Gourmet’s and Gate Aviation’s financial performance, operations and management functions. Van Niekerk’s cv includes creating a “pride and passion” programme of employee engagement and initiative focusing on improving customer service. Before joining the company he was a director


at AlixPartners LLC, a leading U.S. turnaround and restructuring advisory.


Orvec Kevin Stamp Kevin Stamp has been appointed as managing director of Orvec International Limited. Kevin has worked for Orvec for over 22 years in various production roles and more recently as operations director. He is keen to further invest and develop the company’s bespoke manufacturing capabilities whilst further enhancing the Orvec brand.


William Meddings William Meddings has been appointed finance director of Orvec International Limited. Prior to Orvec Will spent seven years at the accountancy firm, KPMG. Upon qualification as a chartered accountant he joined KPMG’s Midland’s Corporate Finance practice where he specialised in private equity and trade transactions.


Alpha Flight Services Australia Nick Robinson Following Alpha’s successful bid earlier this year for the Jetstar International catering and inflight support contract Alpha has appointed Nick Robinson to the new role of manager Jetstar International. Nick is well experienced in the industry coming from Qatar Airways as out port catering manager - Far East and prior to that he worked for six years as inflight manager for AirAsia. Nick is a qualified chef with a diploma in hotel management. His new home is in Melbourne – coincidently the home base for Jetstar International.


Yang Fan Yang Fan has joined the Alpha team in Australia in the new position of regional manager – China. She has 14 years’ experience in Chinese domestic and international flight catering at senior levels and brings with her a vast knowledge and appreciation of Chinese airlines, culture and food. Yang Fan has moved to Sydney from Beijing with her family and has a bachelor degree in American English Linguistics and literature.


Nestlé Neomie Pouwer Neomie has joined the Nestlé Travel Channel as regional key account manager. Based in Amsterdam, her focus will be on airlines, rail catering and cruise lines in Central Europe. Neomie has more than eight years experience in the airline supply industry, having previously worked for Supplair and Marfo. Neomie says she is looking forward to the new challenge, and contributing to both product and concept development.


Nestlé Raffaele Baldon Raffaele has joined the Nestlé Travel Channel as regional key account manager. Based in Italy, his focus will be business development within Southern Europe and the Balkans. Raffaele has over 13 years of industry experience, most recently with Gate Gourmet and Supplair. Raffaele is excited to be joining the team and is looking forward to developing the customer and brand partnerships.


LSG Holdings Erdmann Rauer LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG (LSG Holding) Supervisory Board has appointed Erdmann Rauer to become a member of the company’s executive board. In his new role as chief sales officer, Erdmann will be responsible for LSG Sky Chefs’ worldwide sales and marketing activities. He completes the LSG Holding executive board, which currently consists of three members: Walter Gehl, ceo, Jochen Müller, coo, and Jens Theuerkorn, cfo. His addition to the board will enable the company to put a stronger focus on the market developments and the strengthening of customer relationships.


Diversey Somer Gundogdu Somer has been appointed as zone director leading the Diversey team within the Middle East and North Africa. He brings a truly global outlook to the region


and has a strong drive for excellence, having 17 years of experience within Diversey. Somer has previously held high level management positions within the company in Central Europe and Egypt.
