Chairman’s Statement
I am constantly inspired by the young people I meet from the Cadet Forces. It is invigorating to work
with an organisation which strives to seek out the best in every young person and give them further
opportunities in life. For some it is adding breadth to an impressive CV, but for others it takes dogged
determination to achieve any qualifications at all.
It has been another successful year for CVQO in spite of turbulent economic times. I have been
closely involved in seeking financial support across the UK. It is a significant tribute to CVQO
that these requests are being taken seriously and addressed by the regions who all
recognise the value of young people earning additional qualifications.
CVQO continues to move forward with developing additional qualifications for
both cadets and adult volunteers offering greater personal and professional
development opportunities.
As ever I thank the adult volunteers for the unerring support they give to CVQO
and without whose vital contribution the cadets could not continue to benefit.
I will continue to support you all in your endeavours.
Admiral the Lord West of Spithead GCB DSC DUniv
