Enrolment for the ILM Certificate in Team Leading is limited
to senior cadets who have attended the necessary leadership
courses.
As a trial, cadets put their leadership and ingenuity skills to the
test during a week-long expedition on the Glendhu Estate in
the northern reaches of Scotland. It was a harsh environment
and taught the cadets the real value of planning. The cadets
were forced to consider the bigger picture and develop a
maturity beyond their years in tackling the scenarios.
Overseas Developments
The Cayman Islands and St Vincent continue to take the
lead in provision of cadet qualifications overseas. They
invited CVQO to attend this year’s Caribbean Commandants’
Conference. As a result several additional countries are now
interested in enrolling cadets for the first time.
