We’ll have to try it. We usually avoid recipes that have the www.CCMRigging.com
words, “slime coating,” in them. But, when you look at a shrimp,
it really doesn’t look like something you’d like to stick in your
mouth either.
Did They Make It? Following Boats Going
Through the Northwest Passage
I have been following the voyage of Ocean Watch
through the Northwest Passage. My question is, what
happened to the group of sailboats that were at Gjoa
Haven waiting for the ice to retreat. Ocean Watch passed
through Bellow Strait but there was no mention of the
other sailboats and if they made it or not.
John L.
We forwarded your inquiry to the Around the Americas
team on Ocean Watch, and they sent back this report.
“Both Silent Sound and Baloum Gwen made it through
the NW Passage, a couple weeks behind us. As far as we
know, there were nine boats attempting the NW Passage
this year; the three going eastward including us, and a
half dozen going west. It looks like all nine are going to
successfully make it. This will make the third straight year
that sailboats made it through, though this year was icier
than the last two.”
