Built to Hunt
Big cats are powerful hunters. Strong legs help them leap, climb, and run. Sharp teeth and claws help them bite and tear.
T ere’s no fast food where big cats live, but the food does move fast. A big cat stalks prey by crouching low to the ground before it strikes. Leopards are the strongest climbers. Tigers swim well. Jaguars hunt well at night. Lions attack in groups.
A lionness stalks her prey.
