Finding Their Way T e ice wasn’t always fl at. Sometimes large chunks of ice crunched together. T at would cause the ice sheets to pile up. T e team had to climb over the piles. Other times, the ice would crack. A gap would fi ll with ocean water. To cross the gap, the team made a raſt from their sleds. T ey tied them together and fl oated across.


Aſt er 11 days, Jade and her team reached their goal, the North Pole. Mission accomplished! T is trip was only Jade’s fi rst step. T ere are two other trips she must make to complete the Polar Hat Trick. Stay tuned!
