Leaves blanket the ground. A squirrel drops an acorn in the soil. T is acorn will not become a squirrel snack, though. An oak tree sprouts from that tiny seed.
Years and years pass. T e tree grows and grows. Today, its trunk is wide. Some of its branches rest on the ground. Other branches reach toward the sky.
T is tree is known as the Angel Oak. It grows in South Carolina in the United States. It has grown for more than 500 years. It's still growing today.
