U

Good (Seattle), MacAllan Guy (Seattle), and Fran Walsh (Burien, Wash.) had won its past five games to earn a playoff berth at the Sport Palace in Kazan, Russia. Te team met the Scottish rink skipped by Cameron Bryce and struggled to put points on the scoreboard in the low-scoring af- fair.

Maxie’s rink scored first in the game as the

team put a single point on the scoreboard. How- ever, it would be the only time the team would profit as Scotland scored three points in the sec- ond end to take the lead for good. Te U.S. team had the last-rock advantage for the remaining six ends but was unable to set up the necessary points for the win. It was the first world championship appear-

ance for the U.S. team members aſter they cap- tured the 2016 USA Curling Mixed National Championship title this spring in Tempe, Ariz.
