World Curling Federation announced the quali- fication process for the 2018 Olympic Games and also some rule changes for Mixed Doubles. Te 2016 and 2017 World Mixed Doubles Champion- ships (WMD) will be the qualifying events for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Te USCA has taken the decision to hold a World Team Trials (Trials) to decide USA’s representatives for the 2016 WMD Championships.
• Up to four teams will be selected by a USCA Advisory Group which will include an AAC representative.

Preparations for the 2016 USA Curling Na-
tional Championships are in full swing. Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., will host the event from Feb. 6-13. Te organizing com- mittee is looking for volunteers for the event, in particular officials. Volunteer support also is needed on the ice
crew and in a variety of other roles. So, if you’d like to escape winter and help grow the sport of curling in Florida and support this key national championship event, visit
