Curling’s lead arena ice technician since 2011. Recently retired aſter 27 years as the manager of the Willmar Civic Center in Minnesota, Madsen began making arena curling ice in 2004. He now travels throughout the United States making ice for several USA Curling National Champion- ships each year and teaching courses on making ice for arena-based curling clubs. He is excited to share his knowledge and provide curlers with practi- cal advice on how to create the best possible playing conditions considering the unique challenges faced by each arena club.
