LIZA KELLY Who’s your favorite athlete?
I’m pretty sure saying myself is not appropriate? I actually really love Peyton Manning. I think he approached the game like a coach, performed under enormous pressure and I really love how funny he is.
What’s your favorite sports movie? How about top fi ve? “Rudy,” “Hoosiers,” “For the Love of the Game,” “Bull Durham,” and does “Caddyshack” count?
What is your favorite hobby?
Horseback riding. I rode a little bit when I was a kid and my oldest [daughter] is really into it now. Her trainer is great and lets me ride while she is getting her lessons.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? Right after my oldest was born, we took the team to Australia and I went bungee jumping. I made the mistake of putting it up on social media and my mom quickly informed me that she did not consider it my best “mom” decision.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
President. Watch out Trump!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Crabs. The Baltimore girl in me must always be satisfi ed.

My last semester at Delaware, I was meeting with a professor discussing my future. At the time, I thought I might be headed to law school or graduate school, but I really didn’t know to what end. My professor told me, “Do what you love.” Up until that point, I never even considered coaching. I have loved this job for almost 20 years. Thanks Professor Oliver!
