A quick look at the rising stars in the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline


Madison Endsley Temecula, California


Madison Endsley, a 6-3 outside hitter, was part of the USA Select A1 team that took bronze at the 2016 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in the Girls’ International Youth Division. She was named all-tournament in the event. Last season she helped Coast 15-1 Luis to the silver medal at the 2016 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships, leading to her inclusion on the all-tourna- ment team. Endsley, who has verbally committed to the University of Nebraska after finishing her freshman season at Temecula Valley High School, is playing for Coast 16-1 Luis this spring.


Madison Fitzpatrick Tallahassee, Florida


Madison Fitzpatrick is a rising talent as she was named to the USA Volleyball A1 Beach National Team in 2016. She placed fourth at the USAV Beach High Per- formance Champion- ships in the U19 age divi- sion last year after finishing second


in 2015. In her first-ever AVP event, Fitzpatrick placed ninth at the New Orleans stop in 2016. She captured the GCCA Gulf Coast Beach Series II U18 division playing on sand next to the NCAA Collegiate Beach Champion- ship. Fitzpatrick, who has committed to play at Florida State University, finished third at the AAU Nationals in 2016.


James Hartley Waxhaw, North Carolina


James Hartley, a 6-5 outside hitter, was a member of the USA Select A1 team that placed eighth at the 2016 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in the Boys’ International Youth Division. He competed for Ocean Bay 16 Quiksilver last summer at the 2016 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships where his team finished 14th in 16 Open. Hartley participated in USAV’s Boys’ Select A1 National Training Team program this past December. This spring he is playing for CUVC 18 Boys Onslaught, and the team placed fifth at Boys’ Winter Volleyball Championship to qualify for 2017 BJNC.

Sam Lewis Long Beach, California


Sam Lewis, a 6-10 middle blocker, sparked the U.S. Boys’ Youth National Team to the silver medal at the 2016 NORCECA Men’s U19 Continental Championship in Cuba. Last summer he paced Team Rock- star Volleyball Club to the 17 Open bronze medal at the USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships and was named to the all-tournament team. Lewis, who has signed to play for University of Southern California next spring, was tabbed the 2016 Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team Player of the Year as a junior at Long Beach Poly High School.


Shea Rubright Yakima, Washington


Shea Rubright, a 6-4 middle, was a member of the USA Youth A1 Red Team that finished fourth at the 2016 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in the Women’s International Junior division. At the 2016 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Cham- pionships, she helped Team Yakima 15 Gold Elite to a 21st- place finish in the National Di-


vision a year after helping Team Yakima 16 Gold Elite to an 11th-place finish in the 16 USA Division. Rubright, who has verbally committed to University of Minnesota, was selected to the USAV Girls’ Youth A1 National Training Block Program this past December.


Adam Wienckowski Jacksonville, Florida


Adam Wienckowski placed first at the USA Volleyball Beach High Performance Trials Tournament this past December to qualify to represent Team USA at the FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships in China this summer. He qualified to participate in the 2016 FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Cham- pionships after finishing second in the USAV Beach HP Trials Tournament, but was unable to compete at Worlds due to injury. Wienckowski earned a silver medal at the 2015 USAV Beach High Performance Championships in the U17 division.
