IN A WORLD WITHOUT CASTINGS Would Boats Be as Fast?
One of the great advantages of metalcasting is how it
can achieve graceful geometries. Few applications illus- trate that better than boat propellers. Propellers can be cast via numerous metals and alloys.
Iron, bronze and aluminum are three of those metals. Which metal is used can depend on the size of the boat and the motor. Te propellers have three, four or five blades that have gentle curves made possible by metalcasting.
