HELP WANTED General Information Position: Pattern Shop Supervisor General Description of the Position:


The Pattern Shop supervisor is responsible for leading and managing her/his department as well as company projects to achieve departmental and company goals. To promote and build teamwork while creating a positive and safe work environment, and a strong company culture that embodies a drive for success, ownership of responsibilities, and a passion for being the best. To practice daily continual improvement in all areas. To work seamlessly with the other supervisors and managers in Operations to continually improve not only the Pattern Shop but also the entire plant.


Department Operations


1. Reports to: • Technical Services Manager


2. Direct report to him/her: • Tooling and Gating hourly employees


3. Mission Critical:


• Understand the relationship of the Pattern Shop within the plant structure • Manage the departments to insure that the correct tooling is available a the proper time


4. Functional relationship:


• Interact with outside pattern shops • Interact with vendors • Operational Personnel (Supervisors, Managers, etc.) • Purchasing


• Others as needed 5. Responsibilities:


• Modelling of all current and future cookware items • Solidification simulation software • Scheduling of patterns for production • Optimization of gating for scrap reduction and yield • Tracking of tooling wear


6. Key performance indicators: • Ability to reduce scrap


• Meet or exceed agreed upon Department goals on a consistent basis Profile


Basic requirements:


• High school degree required. College degree preferred. College level CAD courses required. • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well and communicate with all levels in the organization.


• Must be able to define problems, competitive analysis, establish facts, and formulate valid conclusions.


• Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. • Demonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic.


D Necessary Knowledge:


• CAD/Modelling experience • Vertical gating experience a plus • Experience in gray/ductile iron a plus

PROCESS ENGINEER / FOUNDRY MANAGER— Alcon Industries is seeking a strong candidate to be a hands-on assistant to the General Manager. Responsibilities include tooling design, process controls, material purchasing, scheduling, su- pervising core room and molding departments. Familiar with green sand and no-bake molding processes. Familiar with shell machine, cold box, oil sand and no-bake core processes. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years foundry experience.
