George Hess Tomas “Tim” Leo Kablach died


January 2, 2015. He was 89. Kablach’s career began at Mesta Machinery, West Homestead, Pa., and included management positions at a number of companies in the metalcasting industry. He was an AFS Service Life member and a member of the Chicago Chapter, serving as chair in 1991-1992. He was active in the AFS technical committees for more than 25 years. He contributed to Modern Casting magazine and taught for the Institute. Kenneth C. Einsweiler died Jan.


5, 2015. He was 93. Kenneth served in the United States Navy during WWII earning an honorable discharge in 1945. He worked in the metalcast- ing industry for 65 years at Lemfco, Galena, Ill.; Westwick Foundry Ltd., Galena, Ill; and Chicago Dubuque Foundry Corp., East Dubuque, Ill., until his retirement in 1983. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the Ameri- can Foundry Society. Frederick James Simonelli died Jan.


6, 2015. He was 67. In 1977, Simonelli was named the executive director of the California Cast Metals Association, Sacramento, Calif. (since renamed the California Metals Coalition). He spent 47 years with the organization, most recently operating as its vice president, government affairs.
