INDUSTRY NEWS Ryobi Limited Plans Expansion, New Jobs for Indiana Facility
Japanese company Ryobi Limited announced plans to invest $97.5 million and add up to 150 new employees for its facility in Shelbyville, Indiana. According to the Indianapolis Busi-
ness Journal, Ryobi Limited is plan- ning to buy a 350,000 sq. ft. building next to Ryobi Die Casting USA, its American subsidiary. Te report says the purchase will expand Ryobi’s op- erations in the area to four buildings. Ryobi, the article said, will be able
to process 500,000 castings annually by 2018 at its structural and engine block diecasting operation. Te facility is expected to open by late 2017. “Ryobi Die Casting is a world-
