COMPANY TURNS OLD WOODEN PATTERNS INTO MIRRORS

Room & Board has come out with a limited-edition line called Foundry Reclaimed Mirrors.

Wooden patterns as decorative furniture? Thanks to one company, the answer is yes. Room & Board (Minneapolis), a furniture company, has come out with a limited-edition line called

Foundry Reclaimed Mirrors. According to the company, the wooden frames made from mahogany and pine were once used as patterns for sand molds at an Ohio metalcasting facility. “We’re proud to give these molds a second life as mirrors unique in size, color and silhouette,” the company said in a news release.

The mirrors are available at Room & Board stores in Chicago, Culver City, California, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco. They are not available for purchase online. 
