Hitchiner Expanding New Hampshire Facility Hitchiner Manufacturing Co.
(Milford, New Hampshire) is ex- panding its facility in Milford. T e addition is expected to bring 40 new employees. According to a report in the Union Leader, the company is seek- ing permission for two additions: one that’s 25,000 sq. ft. and another that’s 6,000. “T is is one large addition and
then a secondary, smaller addition on the opposite side of the facility,” Tim Sullivan, vice president of corporate aff airs and services, said according to the report. Hitchiner employs more than 600
around the U.S., and the report said 338 of the workers are in Milford. Hitchiner is an investment caster
with clients in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Polich Tallix, Maker of Oscar Statuettes, Receives Tax Assistance for New Facility
Polich Tallix (Rock Tavern,
New York) received tax assistance to move its facility to Walden, New York. According to a report from
the Times Herald-Record, Tallix, a bronze art caster which manu- factures the Oscar statuettes, is planning to renovate a 60,000- sq. ft. facility in Walden. Polich agreed to buy the building, a structure that used to be home of a circus, for $2.5 million. T e Industrial Development
Agency (IDA) granted a $20,300 state sales tax exemption, and also exemptions for a mortgage record- ing tax ($13,000) and property taxes ($312,504). Polich Tallix has 80 full-time
employees and, according to the report, is expecting to add 13 more over the next five years. The renovations could be com- plete by August.
Emma Stone, who won Best Actress at the 2017 Academy Awards for her role in La La Land, holds her Oscar statuette. Polich Tallix, which produces the statuettes, is getting tax assistance for its move to a new facility.
