• Converted from a green sand cast- ing, the diecast housing improved dimensional accuracy, surface fi nish and strength.
• T e 52-lb. casting represented a 50% decrease in weight and cost, with Mercury’s proprietary aluminum alloy improving its resistance to corrosion.

Diecasting the component produced near net shape castings and reduced machining requirements.
