Invest Cast Expands Sand Casting Capabilities

T e park contains the 19th-century ironworks that manufac- tured cannons (Parrott guns) credited with helping to win the Civil War, some of the nation’s fi rst steam engines, pipes for New York City’s water system and machinery essential for the cotton and sugar industries. T e owners also were business pioneers, among the fi rst to con- trol every aspect of manufacturing from raw material to product distribution. “[It] tells a remarkable story as a cradle of the Industrial Revolution, and it’s a testament to the power of nature and res- toration,” said Steve Rosenberg, executive director, Scenic Hudson Land Trust. “T is unique site played a pivotal

RH Sheppard Expands Coldbox Core Production

nover, Pa., is expanding its coldbox core production capabilities with an order for an additional Laempe LB25 CoreCenter. The new system will consist of a Laempe CoreShoot- er, GasGenerator and Sand Mixer integrated into a central controller, with existing periphery equipment for sand, binder and amine delivery. RH Sheppard is known for the design and manufacturing of a variety of high quality castings for the truck, bus, rail, construction and recreational vehicle industries. 
